He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas "Bud" Leep and Hilda Leep (Zandstra); and his siblings, Barton, Ken and Jean.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Brett; his daughters, Emily (Thomas) and Carrie (Craig); and his sister Joyce. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
