She was predeceased by: her parents, Fenton Stearns and Lois Stearns; her husband Rudolph Spacek (Rudy); and her brother Dr Charles R Stearns. She is survived by: her children, David Spacek (Sandra), Anne Gerlach (James) and Lynne Toth; and her grandchildren, Sherri Lindsey (Dennis), David Spacek, Wendy Spacek, Dana Ballard and Eric Ballard (Elise). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

She was a strong supporter of charities, with the Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Foundations being most meaningful to her.
