He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry DeVries and Hermina DeVries; his brother John DeVries; and his sisters-in-law, Linda and Sharon DeVries.
He is survived by: his wife Thea; his children, Christopher DeVries (Hilary), Dr. Timothy DeVries (Beth) and Stacy Crampton (Ben); his grandchildren, Adam, Nora DeVries, James, Erica, Jenny, Sarah DeVries, David and Evalyn Holwerda; and his brother Rev. Albert DeVries. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
