It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Tafel (Highland, Indiana), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvio "Sam" Scarpelli and Mary Scarpelli (Scala); and her niece Eileen Mikos. She is survived by: her husband Daniel J. Tafel; her daughters, Gwendolyn Tribble (Mark) and Mary Beth Haniford (Derrick); her granddaughter Miranda Haniford (Logan Wahlig); her great grandchildren, Delilah and Atlas; her sister Patricia Block-Hay (Tim); her niece Amanda "Mandy" Block-Bahr (Robert); her nephews, Brian Hay and Ken Mikos; her great-nephew Austin; and her niece Gracie.
