He was predeceased by: his wife Charmaine Jonkman; his sister Effie Rottier; and his parents, Joe Jonkman and Jennie Jonkman. He is survived by: his children, Joe Jonkman (Suzanne) of Griffith, Dawn Stapleton (Jim) of Nebraska and Michele Heiligstedt (John) of Crown Point; and his grandchildren, J. P. Heiligstedt, Caleb Jonkman, Jared Jonkman, Joseph Stapleton (Ali) and Kristen Stapleton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
