He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Hernandez (Rodriguez); his daughter Maria; and his parents, Sylvester Hernandez and Gertrude Hernandez. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Cavazos (Robert) and Diana Dominguez (Angel); his grandchildren, Anthony Hernandez (Venessa), Rudy Hernandez (Shannon), Christina Rodriguez (Daniel), Aaron Cavazos (Taree), Matthew Cavazos, Sarah Cavazos, Joshua Cavazos, Andrew Cavazos and Catherine Cavazos; and his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Jason, Louie, James Julian (J. J.), Daniel (D. J.), Dominic and Sutton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 9:15 AM. A prayer will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (525 N Broad St, Griffith, IN 46319).
