The family announces the passing of Marilyn Sodo (Highland, Indiana) on August 26, 2026. Marilyn, born on December 3, 1939, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Marilyn will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Marilyn by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Marilyn is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Marilyn’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marty Elzinga and Grace Elzinga; her siblings, Wayne, Jo Ann Martinez and Judy Doot; and her husband Anthony Sodo. She was also cherished by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to New Life Christian Reformed Church.
