He was predeceased by: his father Dean Wendell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Hite; his children, Bradley Hite (Brandi) of Fort Wayne and Kathy Reed (John) of Churubusco; his siblings, Carol Leiter (Barry) of Roanoke, Richard Hite (Linda) of Fort Wayne and Joe Hite (Judy) of Arizona; and his grandsons, Baylen Hite, Boden Hite, Bryden Hite and Parker Reed.

Memorial donations in his honor may be directed to Auburn Shifters Car Club.
