He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Benko and Fran Benko. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Benko; his sons, Scott Benko (Kim), Greg Benko (Marie) and Jeff Benko (Christine); his grandchildren, Lexi and Garrett Benko; and his siblings, Gayle Schillo (Keith) and Robert Benko (Paulette). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, "The Zebra Crew" and dear friends.
