In loving memory of Carolyene Emerick of Hoagland, Indiana, who departed this world on June 16, 2025 at the age of 93. Carolyene leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Starnes and Daisy Starnes (Rogers); her husband Ray Emerick; and her siblings, John Starnes, Henry Starnes, Bobbi Evans and Laverne Crownover.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Fuess (Bob) and Shirley Knight (Ron); and her grandchildren, Stephanie Reece (Shane), Rob Fuess (Joye), Nicole Knefelkamp (Troy), Aaron Knight (Liz), Arika Ellingsen (Matthew) and Corey Knight (Anna). She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Covington Memorial Funeral Home (8408 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Covington Memorial Gardens (8408 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804).
