He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Scheumann and Leonora Scheumann (Rebber); his wife Doris Oetting; and his sister Beth Rorick. He is survived by: his siblings, Keith Scheumann (Debbie) of Woodburn, Alan Scheumann (Tammy) of Decatur, Indiana, Kathy Boling (Bob) of Ossian, Peggy Kofer (Chris) of Strafford and Kelly Winebrenner (Len) of Hamilton, Indiana. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews; and 28 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (12912 Franke Rd, Monroeville, IN 46773).
Preferred memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock.
