With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Alphonse Sorg of Hoagland, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2026 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Sorg and Virginia Sorg (Minnich); his grandchildren, Ronald "Bubba" Sorg and Heather Sorg Barton; his great grandchild Tatiana Speith; and his siblings, William Sorg, Bernadette Adams, Irene Shelburne, Marguerite Meyers, Jeanette Klingenberger, Victoria Vachon and Helene Spieth.
He is survived by: his wife Carole A. Sorg of Hoagland, Indiana; his children, Anthony R. Sorg (Evelyn) of Monroeville, Allan P. Sorg of Hoagland, Indiana, Lori A. Sirk (Fritz) of Hoagland, Dawn M. Faurote (Leo) of Decatur and Tammy R. Speith (Andy) of Monroeville, Indiana; his brother Russell Sorg (Sharon) of Yoder, Indiana; and his brother-in-law Ed Adams of Woodstock, Ohio. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
