We announce the death of Catherine M. Bayless of Hobart, Indiana, who passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 104. Catherine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Garrett and Bessie Garrett; her husband Benjamin Bayless; her son Timothy Cole; her brothers, Glenn, Corky and Charlie Garrett; her brother-in-law Rodney Bayless; her sisters, Mildred Lorenz and Geraldine Rayner; and her grandson Matthew Quinlan.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Quinlan (David), Rodney Bayless (Gay), Ben Bayless (Nina), Mary Jane Williams (Darren) and Linda Dipiazza (Paul); her daughter-in-law Elaine Cole; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Crum, Wendy Kirpanos, David Quinlan, Michelle Goldschmidt, Ben J. Bayless, Ryan Booth, Penny Clackley, Heather Weber, Jennifer Gabrielli, Rod Bayless, Kimberly Carpenter, Dawn Williams, Rebecca Secco, Jared Bayless and Ross Williams. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
