He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Nichols and Edna Nichols; and his in-laws, Lowell, Verna Jordan, Don, Marilyn Jean Mundell and David Jordan.
He is survived by: his wife Martha (Jordan); his children, Richard Nichols (Jeanine) and Barbara Achauer (Jeff); his grandchildren, Donald, Stephanie, Zachary, Christopher Nichols of Texas, Ashley Galante (Jeremy) and Jason Achauer (Shae); his great grandchildren, Juliana Galante of Ohio and Jordan Achauer of Ohio; and his sister Virginia Johnson (William).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Maria Reiner Senior Center 705 East 4th Street Hobart, Indiana 46342 in lieu of flowers.
