It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie R. Long of Hobart, Indiana, who passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Ellamae Long (Johnson); his former wife Muriel Long-Berry; his wife Kathleen B. Long; his daughters, Barbara Rivera, Donna Long and Roxanne Long; and his siblings, Joe Long, Albert "PeeWee" Long, Carol Beatty and Marian Barbara Long (Bobbi).
He is survived by: his father Marion Long; his children, Richard Long (Lucy), Tina Long and Leeanne Juszczak (Joseph); his siblings, Jimmy Long and Nancy Kirk (Junior); his siblings-in-law, Aaron Williams (Faye) and Marsha Tan (Tom); and his grandchildren, Ricky Long (Osyana), Cody Long (Taylor), Alexus Long (Summer), Jessie Berrocal, John Navarro, Jocelyn Cooper, Jackie Cooper, Jennifer Cooper, David Aponte (Abby), Samantha Stewart (Dalton), Jose Valladolid, Jonathan Petursson (Emily), Wendy Bailey (D. J.), Tony Rivera (Melissa), Jason Rivera (Jacqueline), Virginia Garland, Junior Garland, Telisha Congress, Rachel Villareal, Rene Villareal, Ashley Villareal and Tai'jona Lenoir. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
