He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Smith and Lillian Smith; and his wife Christine Runk. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Runk (Kelly), Hawk Whalen (Scott) and Thomas Runk (Cathy); his grandchildren, Courtney Farkas (Zack), Allie Runk, Nick Trottier (Gabby), Ryan Malott (Heather) and Noah Runk; and his great grandchild Griffin Trottier.
Memorial contributions in Thomas' name may be made to the Hobart Humane Society in honor of his love for his cats.
