We bid farewell to William James Hawkins of Hobart, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 25, 2025 at the age of 71. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willliam Hawkins, and Margaret Hawkins, Sr. (Handy); the mother of his children Pamela Hawkins; and his sister Kathleen Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Camille Hawkins; his children, Benjamin Hawkins of Nevada, Zachary Hawkins (Meara) of Hobart and Megan Hawkins (Michael Loeffer) of Portage; his stepchildren, Steven Spurr (Whitney) of Montana, Jillian Marshall (Adam) of Valparaiso, Benjamin Spurr of Portage, Marie Hitz of Tell City and Robert Nelson (Amanda) of DeMotte; and his siblings, Nancy Johnson (Dennis) of Florida, Daniel Hawkins (Denise) of Michigan and John Hawkins (Deanna) of Minnesota. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rees Funeral Home (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342).
