He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Franklin and Ida Marie Franklin (Barriklow). He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his son Darrell (Lisa); his grandchildren, Adam (Amanda), Andrew (Heather), Erica Stephen, Chad Anderson (Chrissy) and Sammy Prather; his stepgrandson Nicholas (Kelsey); his great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Gabe, Max, Norah, Eli, Elise, Daxton and Kashton; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Colter, Finn and Thea. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hopewell Baptist Church (2319 N County Rd 850 W, Holton, IN 47023). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Holton Community Fire Department or Hopewell Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
