He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper and Mary Fugate Sr. (Compton); his son Billy Fugate; and his siblings, Louise Mockbee, Pauline Allen, Herbert Fugate and Harley Fugate.
He is survived by: his daughter Carol Fugate of Osgood; his friend Betty St. John; and his siblings, Jasper "Jay" Fugate (Sarah) of Milan, Gail Haase of Milan and Phyllis Crossthwaite of Dillsboro. He is also survived by numerous niece and nephews.
