He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Steffen and Anna Marie Steffen (Klapperich); his wife Teresa Buechel of Peter's Catholic Church; his son-in-law Alex Steffen; his brothers, Eugene and Jerry Steffen; his father-in-law Herman Sr. Buechel; and his siblings-in-law, Eugene Schmitz, Donald Steffes, Herman Buechel, Allen Buechel, Donald Abler, Betty Lou Stephanie (Lester) and Marilyn Schneider (Roger).
He is survived by: his children, Randall Steffen (Betty) of New Holstein, Gary Steffen of Arlington, VA, Chris Fuhrmann (Kevin) of St. Cloud and Kay Diederich (David) of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Ryan Steffen (Sami), Travis Steffen (Katie), Jackie Merten (Kevin), Greg Fuhrmann (Sadie), Mitchell Diederich (Rachel) and Maddy Diederich; his great grandchildren, Evanne, Avery Steffen, Connor Mains and Koleton Fuhrmann; his sister Dolores Schmitz of New Holstein; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Steffen of St. Cloud, Joan Steffes of Mount Calvary, Diana Abler of Chilton, Joyce VerHaagh (Ron) of Fond du Lac, Janet Buechel of Fond du Lac, Betty Buechel of St. Peter and David Tetzke (Karen). He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
