She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lash and Emma Lash (Woodard); and her siblings, Ione J. Lash, Rhoda E. Hedglin, Lorene M. DePew, Lavonne I. Foulk, Elaine L. Hartman, Otis L. Lash, Ormond R. "Slim'Lash, Earl J. Lash and Gerald R. "Gabby" Lash.
She is survived by: her husband Veryl Avon Carpenter of Angola, Indiana; her son Mark Carpenter (Julia) of Leo; and her grandchildren, Matthew Garvin of Angola, Cassidy Schalk (Andrew) of Fort Wayne, Breanna Carpenter of Cincinnati, Isabella Gieck of California and Beau Carpenter of Leo, Indiana. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
