She is survived by: her husband Chris Opitz; her son Rodger Merritt (Karen) of Rochester, NY; her stepchildren, Jamie Valle, Kyle Opitz, Brittany Lewis and Eric Opitz of Atlanta, GA; her father Robert Britton Sr. of New York; her grandchildren, Alexis Dianne, Lily Merritt and Jack Merritt; and her stepgrandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas Valle, Alexa, Juliana Opitz, Victoria and Alexander Lewis.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Crosspoint Fellowship Baptist Church (5681 US-231, Jasper, IN 47546).
