He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Garland and Mildred Steele (Seligman). He is survived by: his sister Penny Long (Jerald) of Huntington, IN; his niece April Chopson (Scott McElhaney); his nephews, Thomas Long, Jerald Long, Jr. and Jason Long; and his cousins, Debbie, Barbara and Brenda of North Carolina.
