He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Delbert Walter and Palma Walter (Hunter). He is survived by: his wife Yvette L. Lofland; his children, Denise James (Michael) of Huntington, Melissa Wesco of Huntington, Natalie Thorne (Kip) of South Whitley, IN and Brent Walter (Tracy) of Huntington, IN; his siblings, Brian Walter (Ronda), Anita Stewart (Jeffrey) of Warren, IN, Diane and Marla Wolf (Jim) of Huntington, IN; his grandchildren, Alanna Wesco (Joel Knight), Collin Wesco (Courtney), Wyatt James and Emily Haneline (Jacob); and his great grandchildren, Karoline, Warner and Lawson.
