He was predeceased by: his father Robert Petre; his wife Janet S. Bippus; and his son Todd Petre. He is survived by: his children, James R. Petre (Janell) of Churubusco, IN and Amy C. Orr (David) of Fort Wayne, IN; his sisters, Carol Jennings of Fort Wayne, IN and Constance Kaylor (Dennis) of Huntington, IN; his grandchildren, Taylor Petre (Erika), Logan Petre, Mackenzie Cook (Jordan), Shea Petre, Tony Orr (Ashley) and Justin Orr; and his great grandchildren, Wren Petre, Crew Petre and Hadley Cook.
