Saundra Baxter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Saundra Baxter of Huntington, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred VanMeter and Helen VanMeter (Shattoo); her husband Rex Baxter; and her siblings, Richard, Melvin, Robert, Erv, Ed, Freddie Van Meter, Betty Wolfe, Mae Gawthrop, Maxine Smith, Goldie Cargar, Dorothy Woster and Pauline Thompson.
She is survived by: her close friend Sharon Betz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McElhaney Funeral Home (715 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
