It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edward Nicholson Sr. of Huntington, Indiana, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. and Mary C. Nicholson (Kasper); his wife Ruth Ann Sands; his daughter Carla Ley; his granddaughter Shannon Bartrom; and his brother Stanley Nicholson.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas E. Nicholson, Jr. of Huntington, IN, Kimberlee Schlapper (Dean) of Fort Wayne, IN, Debra S. Rosen (James) of Mt Etna, IN. and Cheryl Hickey (Christopher) of Fort Wayne, IN; and his siblings, Robert L. Nicholson of Rome, NY, John Nicholson (Mary) of Fort Wayne, IN, Winnie Eckert of Huntington, IN, Cathy Pursifull of Weiser, ID, Theresa Hammond of Louisville, KY and Joan Powers of Louisville, KY.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
