We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2023 we had to say goodbye to William Gene Hauenstein of Huntington, Indiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Laurence Hauenstein and Susie Hauenstein (Anson); and his brothers, John L. Hauenstein and Fred H. Hauenstein. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Jean Petre; his children, Kyle W. Hauenstein (Rhonda) of Fort Wayne, IN and Karla J. McEvoy (Patrick) of Mattawan, MI; his sister Mary Lacey of Huntington, IN; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Hauenstein, Natalie Walker (Ryan), Morgan McEvoy and Griffin McEvoy.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to either of the following: Huntington County Humane Shelter, Alzheimer's Association or to the Donor's Choice in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
