He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Switzer and Stella Switzer (Emley); his wife Arlene Deeter; his daughter Polly Marie Switzer; and his siblings, Herman Switzer, Robert Switzer and Ruth Platt.
He is survived by: his children, David Switzer (Debra) and Paula Bittner (Robert) of Huntington, IN; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ensley, Sarah Wright, Andrew Bittner, Maggie Switzer and Whitney Switzer. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
