He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert Slayton and Loretta Kirk (Stone); and his sister Frances Lucille Swayze. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Slayton of Huron; his daughters, Robin Knight (Johnny) of Huron and Marcella Sizemore of Oolitic; his grandchildren, Shance Sizemore (Lauren), Natasha Scholl (Dan), Kerri Wilder (Tommy), Tiffany Keith (Jon), Ashley Meadows (Kris) and Braxton Porter (Gracelyn); his children, Charles Robert Slayton and Loretta Langford; his son-in-law Robert Sizemore; and his sister Rosalie Abels. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chastain Funeral Home (705 W Warren St, Mitchell, IN 47446). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center (705 W Warren St, Mitchell, IN 47446).
