She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Vivian O. Trotter; her husband James Franklin, Sr.; her children, Dr. Assata Zerai of New Mexico, James L. Franklin, II of California, Daisha K. Franklin and Hon; her grandchildren, Coltrane, Irie Zerai-Che, Jaeda Franklin, Scott James Duncan and James Franklin, III; her great grandchild Luca Mateo Franklin; her siblings, Wilma J. Drake and Thomas Trotter Jr.; her aunts, Katherine Gooch and Martha Owens; and her siblings-in-law, Marie A. Davis, Nita E. Franklin, Elaine F. Hulon and Willie Hulon. She was also cherished by grandcats and granddog.
