Barbara A. Blanchette Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara A. Blanchette of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on March 11, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Ishmael and Virginia Freeland; her husband Donald Blanchette; her sons, Curt Sims and Patrick Blanchette; and her granddaughter Laura Graham.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Schmeing (Larry) and Donna Runyan; her adoptive daughter Marilyn Smith; and her grandchildren, Tracy Majors (David), Jennifer Williams (Andy), Adam Runyan and Ryan Runyan (Missy).
In remembrance of Barbara, donations can be made to the Brain Injury Association of Indiana, an organization that was instrumental in helping Don and Barbara with their son Patrick after his life altering accident in 1986.
