She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer L. Barton and Frances Barton; her husband Joseph L Gehris Ill of Reading, PA; and her son Joseph L Gehris, IV of Indianapolis. She is survived by: her daughters, Janine L and Jodi Gehris Petry (Neil) of Durham, NC; her daughter-in-law Lori Urias-Gehris of Fishers; and her granddaughters, Amelia Petry of Arlington, VA and Megan Gehris of Fishers.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (7650 Oaklandon Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46236). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
