She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Ashby and Sara Ashby; her husband Tom Jacobs; and her son Tim (Tami). She is survived by: her son Paul (Tracy); her grandchildren, Jill Jacobs, Tommy Jacobs Sarah (Casey), Luna Jacobs and Mila Jacobs; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Jonah, Charles and Griffen.

One of the many things Barbara did in the name of servant hood was in 1968 to volunteer her family to clean the Bethany Pilgrim Holiness church for an entire year and donate the compensation back to the church building fund100%.
