She was predeceased by: her parents, Kinzie Winstead and Lizzie Winstead (Pittman); her husband Sylvester Mefford; her children, Ellen Mefford and Leamon Mefford; and her siblings, Elta, Junior, Helen, Verda, Verlon, Foxy Lee and Wanda.
She is survived by: her children, Danny (Patricia Hensley), Darlene (Rick Allgood), Teresa Mefford, Charlene (Andy Gomez), Ronald Mefford, Sandra (Billy Hale), Vernon (Summer Mefford) and John Mefford; and her siblings, Wayne Winstead, Georgia Kelly and Harold. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
