She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Birdsong and Ester Lucille Birdsong; her husband Roger L. Brewer, Sr.; and her children, Roger L. Brewer, Jr. and Lisa P. Redd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nickita D. Brewer and Pamela R. Ali; and her grandchildren, Philana Dunn (Tony), Anthony "Tony" Dancler (Tiea), Michael Cooper, Sacha Fuller (Jason), Nickisha Archie (Josh), Michael Redd and Ashante Redd. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of honorary grandchildren.
