She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart S. Lown and Margaret N. Lown; her husband Frederick Mertz; her sisters, Mary Mooney and Eunice Fisher; and her daughters, Monica Pryor and Gwendolyn Holt.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Cooksey (Mike), Jonathan Mertz (Amy), Kimberly Swingle (Shaun) and Natalie Lagger (Stephen); and her sister Jan Huzzard (Howard). She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
