He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kay Bate (Dailey); his sons, Charles "Chuck" Bate (Karen), Gregory Bate (Cheri) and Jeffrey Bate (Leslie); and his grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Tyler, Joshua, Samuel, Taylor, Haley and Grace.
