He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herbert and Anna Louise Grissom (Higgs); and his siblings, David Grissom, Darrel Grissom and Marnita Hensley.
He is survived by: his children, Charles James Grissom, Jr. of Indianapolis, Heather James of Indianapolis, Malaki Jack Rumsey of Paoli and Rega Renee Grissom of Paoli; and his siblings, Debra Marshall of Kentucky, Lorna Farris of Paoli and Loren Stuffle of French Lick.
