He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Hartman and Esther Caroline Hartman (Rode); his sister Mary Ann McNew (Donald); his in-laws, L. L. and Maudelene Worland; and his brother-in-law Ed Worland.
He is survived by: his son Kyle Christopher Joseph; his wife Jena Elizabeth Worland; his daughter-in-law Marney; and his nieces, Karmen Mickey and Karen Harmon. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
