He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred A. Gietl and Helen Gietl (Burke); and his siblings, Cynthia Ferguson (Gietl), Timothy Gietl and David Gietl.
He is survived by: his children, Courtney (Gietl), Louks (Kyle) of Carmel, IN, Clay Gietl of Indianapolis, IN and Camryn Gietl of Thorntown, IN; his brother Matthew Gietl of Springfield, IL; and his former wife Jodi Gietl (Probasco). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
