He was predeceased by: his father Hiroshi Shimo. He is survived by: his mother Mattie L. Shimo (Eisenhower) of Indianapolis, IN; his children, Danny Shimo, Jr., Chris Shimo and Kaitlyn Shimo; his grandson Kota Caulker; and his brothers, Todd Shimo and Mark Shimo.
