He was predeceased by: his parents, Woods A. Caperton and Martha Adams Caperton; his siblings, Toby and Kristi; his wife Elaine; his son Robert Meador; and his former wife Ann Hook.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Lage (Eddie), Catherine Arwood, Michael Caperton (Melissa) and David Meador (Stacy); and his grandchildren, Charlotte Lage, Alex Lage, Alex Arwood (Kristina), Kailee Grantham (Austin), Brianna Meador, Bridget Semonik (Brian) and Christopher Caperton.
During Covid, he picked up the craft of Diamond Dotz to keep him busy, when staying in was mandatory.
