He is survived by : his children, June Richie, James L. Hinders and Jean Ann Tenney. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Stevens Mortuary (5520 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A rosary was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church (5301 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Ridge Park Cemetery (9295 W 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46234).
