He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Christopher and Ethel Ayers Shepherd; his daughter Ashley; his son-in-law Anthony Lucas; and his sister Linda McDonough.
He is survived by: his children, David Allen Shepherd (Shannon) of North Vernon, Holli Barger (Joseph) of North Vernon, Leslie Shepherd of Bloomington and Thomas Shepherd of Columbus. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, many extended family members; several nieces and nephews.
