He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dory Reid and Maudia Day Reid; his siblings, Rev. George Houston Reid, Dea, Katherine Reid, Pate of Nevada and Adele Reid; and his daughter Valerie Jean Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Ruthie Lee Reid; his daughters, Joyce Marie Banks and Patricia Faye Williams (Robert); and his great grandchildren, Kaylee R. Merriwether of Savannah, Georgia, Nyla M. Dickens of Birmingham, Aryiah Z. Merriwether of Pendleton, MaKenna A. Pappas-Williams of Brooklyn, Brandon D. Wright of Indianapolis, Dalen W. Merriwether of Indianapolis, Jaxon D. Wagner of Indianapolis and Aaron W. Miles of Indianapolis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the God's Church (2135 Fox Hill Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46228). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
