We are sad to announce that on May 30, 2025, at the age of 79, Delbert Maxwell (Indianapolis, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Maxwell and Bettie Maxwell; his son John Maxwell; and his siblings, John Maxwell, Sara Stewart and Deborah Steele.
He is survived by: his wife Shelley Maxwell; his children, Earvin (Tressie), Delbert Jr., Sean Maxwell, Michael, Donovan Adkins, Ebony Owens and Tamara Adkins; his brothers, Gregory and Clyde Maxwell (Rosemary); his sister-in-law Ethel Maxwell; and his grandchildren, Alyssa and Amari Maxwell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stuart Mortuary Chapel (2201 N Illinois St, Indianapolis, IN 46208). A celebration of life was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
