We announce the death of Dennis Joseph Whitlow Sr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 78. Dennis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Whitlow and Claudia Marie Campbell Ridenour; his sisters, Pamela Jenkins and Linda Folino; and his grandchildren, Angel Chambers and Charles Michael Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Chambers (Jon) of Anderson, Renee Whitlow of Indianapolis, Dennis Whitlow Jr. of Chicago and Joseph Whitlow of Decatur, Illinois; his grandchildren, Katie Schwinn (Reid), Megan Chambers, Langley Chambers, Daniele Howard and Everett Whitlow; his great grandchildren, Rosemary Summe and Renlee Schwinn; and his sisters, Cindy Wolf and MaryBeth Poe.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Crown Hill Funeral Home (700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208).
