It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Schildgen of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Schildgen to pay them a last tribute.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Donald shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Donald farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schildgen and Amelia Schildgen (Kahlert); and his sister Marjorie Ann Krajewski. He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Ferguson (Gayron) and Pamela Franklin (Ed); and his siblings, Hildegard June Schildgen, Karen Kay Ecklund, Gerald "Jerry" Schildgen and Karl Francis Schildgen.

A memorial service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Murat Shrine (510 N New Jersey St, Indianapolis, IN 46204).
