She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Melton and Nancy Melton (Robinson); her husband Frederick Charles Thorne; and her son-in-law Eddie Lee Massey Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Jean Massey (Smith), Charles Edward Smith and William Arthur Smith (Julie). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; 2 stepchildren and five step- grandchildren.
